Examination Schedule

This examination schedule template is structured for a 3-year LLB program with clear windows for internal assessments, practicals/viva, and end-semester theory exams. Final dates will be issued through official notices and the affiliating university’s controller of examinations.

Overview and Cadence

  • Two main exam cycles each year: Odd Semester (December) and Even Semester (May), aligned with typical Indian law school calendars and university notifications.
  • Internal assessments and viva/practicals are scheduled mid to late term before theory examinations, following widely adopted practice in law colleges.
  • All official changes, postponements, and rescheduling are communicated through notices; students must track updates on the exam desk/noticeboard.

Odd Semester (July–December)

  • Internal Tests Window: 2nd–3rd week of September (class tests/assignments).
  • Internal Viva-Voce/Clinicals: Late September to early October; slot-wise schedules released by subject teachers/exam cell.
  • Practical/Skills Evaluations: Moot court, drafting files, ADR records due by late October.
  • Theory Exam Form Filling: University portal window opens in October/November as notified.
  • End-Semester Theory Exams: Early to mid-December; detailed date sheets published by university/exam cell.

Even Semester (January–May)

  • Internal Tests Window: 2nd–3rd week of March.
  • Internal Viva-Voce/Clinicals: Late March to early April; subject-wise schedules communicated in class and online.
  • Practical/Skills Evaluations: Moots/ADR/practical files completion by mid-April.
  • Theory Exam Form Filling: University portal window in March/April per notification.
  • End-Semester Theory Exams: May; time tables and centre orders issued by the university.

Publication and Communication

  • Date Sheets: Uploaded as PDFs with paper codes, timings, and reporting instructions on the website and notice board.
  • Centre Orders & Changes: Any relocation or postponement orders are shared via the exam desk and official channels; candidates must check daily during exams.
  • Viva/Practical Slots: Roll number-wise slot allocation handled by the exam cell/subject teachers; formal attire and ID are typically mandatory.

Examination Day Protocol

  • Reporting Time: 30 minutes before the start; gates close 10 minutes prior unless otherwise notified.
  • ID & Materials: College ID, admit card, permitted stationery only; electronic devices are restricted per instructions.
  • Conduct: Unfair means and disorderly conduct policies are strictly enforced as per university guidelines.

Revaluation, Photocopy, and Results

  • Result Declaration: Typically within a notified window after theory exams; timelines vary by university.
  • Photocopy/Revaluation: Application windows and fee schedules are published immediately post-results along with instructions.
  • Supplementary/ATKT: Schedules and forms are notified for eligible students; keep track of distinct portals and deadlines.
